Radio back online

the radio is back online. currently it's streaming a temporary playlist containing only mixes. just until the whole original playlist is copied back on the harddisk. i'm also testing out a new enhancer. so please report any strange clicks 'n beeps if your hear any. thanks for your patience and... enjoy

Radio temporary offline

something wicked is happen. again. we had a harddisk error tonight. can't do anything to bring the radio online again now because i don't have a working server harddisk. so i'm sorry but the radio will be offline for 1-2 days. depending on your timezone :(

i'll update this post as soon as i can say more. sorry again and thanks for your patience.

update 8. may: the mess is bigger than i excepted. so it will take again some time. i am very sorry.

Before this year ends

dear audionauts, first of all, before this year ends, i wanna truly thank you for all the support i got from you!

got some fresh ideas, so there will be a new website next year. somewhen between january and april. features will be enhanced and of course there will be also brand new features. because of that, i'm looking for serious beta-testers. it's not important that you are an internet geek, greenhorns are welcome too! just drop me a line and i'll get in touch with you.

beside that i plan to launch the (long-awaited?) 56kbps stream, for all those mobile listeners. if you've an iPhone or iPod Touch, you should checkout this nice app. just tested it successfully in a starbucks. you can get it also from the evil iTunes Store.

Nanetora

Per Boysen and Costas Andreou have sent us a excellent promo! i'm sure you will like it. so read on!

Nanetora is the first fruit of a long distance collaboration between Per Boysen (Sweden) and Costas Andreou (Greece). Defying the physical distance, the duo's music has its space and time delimited by human interaction in a dynamic musical meeting. Filters become notes and notes become filters, as two brushes drip colors over a 3D canvas.

The vibrating strings, the bow atmospherics, the tonal clusters, the sensitive groove, all become ingredients for human-to-digital sound fields. A gentle machine, fed with harmonics, melts down sound loops to space radio emissions.

Nanetora invites you to a compositional work that walks hand in hand with improvisation and performance. Everything is live, from the guitar clouds that gather over the northern sky, to the train that never sleeps - the magnetic tape.

Tones and textures owe their sea-like dynamics to real-time processing. The final output is a direct result of live electronics. The physical control of music technology transforms circuits into instruments - and instruments into mechanical modulators.
